The three of us ran into each other through Sunday school. I met Sushi first at 4th grade (she secretly put scraps of notebook paper in my hair that day :icongwahplz:), and Onigiri arrived a year later. We started thinking of food items to represent ourselves, and voila! here we are now.

I think the idea first came to me back in... 6th grade? I remember telling Sushi about it through Gaia, and she loved it. But it was quickly forgotten until months ago, I drew it out using paper and pencil, and I told Sushi and Onigiri about it during class. A week later, Onigiri said she was searching through my deviations for that drawing but to no avail. I apologized profusely to her, informing her that I hadn't finished it yet and that I would have it up sometime in the future. I think in one of my journal entries, I told her I would have it done in about a week's time. Again, that was months ago. I'm sorry it's so late! Please forgive me!

Heeeey-oh~! This is the first time I've used Photoshop for drawing! W00t! :headbang: Before, I've only used PS for messing around with images, so this is a huge first step for me, in my opinion at least. During the colouring stage, I ran into some complications and ended up having to alter the lineart layer (for spring roll fillings and burns), but I'm OK with that. And even though it's different from the original drawing, I like how this came out. When I began colouring, I realized that I liked the full opacity and flow of the colours, and I decided right then and there that I wouldn't change the brush settings for this.

In short, I am satisfied.

Many thanks to Kimmy for acquainting me with the pen tool, helping with layer maintenance and image resizing, pointing out mistakes, and supervising as I went along.
